BEHIND THE DESIGN

Project Breakdown

Inspired by a combination of dark wood tones and mixed metals, Brown’s designer Lindsei Brodie recently completed this 10,000 sq ft Delray Beach home for her clients. Incorporating both her goals as well as her clients’, Lindsei created a soft contemporary design which even included a salt water aquarium! Her objective was to evoke a feeling of tranquility and a calm sense of comfort in her clients’ home.

MEET THE DESIGNER

Lindsei Brodie

In the same way a stunning necklace transforms a little black dress, Lindsei Brodie creates equally simple yet powerful interiors. Elegant neutrals in varying shades of taupe and gray create the perfect backdrop for Lindsei to layer contrasting textures, exotic stones, and fashionable art and accessories that make a statement and bring balance to a room with modern, contemporary flair. Lindsei uses a mix of lighting, interesting ceiling details, eye-catching patterns, paint shades that shift from light to dark, and rugs with high and low cuts to create dimension, all the while listening to her clients’ wishes and subscribing to a less-is-more philosophy. Maintaining her No. 1 rule of always giving her clients something new, she never repeats a design twice.

FEATURED ITEM

Sancar Versace Wallpaper

Sancar’s Versace Wallpaper was the perfect finishing touch on this soft contemporary dining room. It added just the right amount of color to the soft palate of the room’s design, and also contrasted beautifully with the dark wood tones and mixed metals.

DESIGNER INSIGHT

A House to Call Home

“The thing I enjoyed most about this project was the relationship I developed with the client. They trusted me completely from beginning to end, and that makes all the difference in the world when you’re able to create something unique and see the results be enjoyed and cherished.

When it was all said and done, the look in the family’s face when they moved into the new home I created for them, was truly a priceless feeling.”
