For Catherine Caporaso, it all begins with a look at the big picture of her client’s desired dream home. Her considerable knowledge of space planning enables her to create interiors of harmony, order and balance, which have garnered her wide acclaim from clients around the globe. By considering her clients’ space, proportions, flow, and lifestyle before creating a floor or furniture plan, she is able to curate proportional interiors that are balanced with exciting accents and textures.
Constantly traveling to remain current and find inspiration in design, fashion and cultural passions, she most often turns to the simplest of source s as her muse: her clients. The who, how and what purpose all influence any space she designs, whether it’s a public space for entertaining or a private one for relaxing. Though she does not repeat color or style philosophies, there are always trends that she keeps in mind when composing a presentation, allowing the client to approve the concept, line-item budget, and architectural philosophies before moving to the next step.
A licensed interior designer and a member of ASID, Catherine has garnered extensive commercial, yacht and high-end residential experience over the last 30-plus years. She has a Bachelor of Science in interior design from Kent State University and maintains her knowledge with constant continuing education. Though in all her years of learning, what she has found she loves most about design can’t actually be taught or predicted at all. Rather, she prefers spaces that evolve and unfold with interesting elements over time.
